Things to do in Mount Dora, Florida

Mount Dora is a small lakeside town in Lake County known for its walkable downtown, antique shops and year-round festivals. Red Bird Cottage and Farm is a short drive away in Eustis, so you can spend the day in town and come back to a quiet evening by the lake.
Walk the downtown
Downtown Mount Dora is a few blocks of shops, cafés and restaurants on a hill above Lake Dora. Most of it is easy to cover on foot in an afternoon.
Antique and vintage shops are a big part of the town's character, both downtown and at the larger antique markets nearby.
By the water
Lake Dora runs along the edge of downtown, and the waterfront is a lovely place for a walk at sunset.
Festivals and events
Mount Dora hosts festivals through the year, including arts and crafts shows. Check the town's event calendar before you book: festival weekends are busy, so plan ahead.
Back at the farm
After a day in town, the Cottage has a dock and a fire pit by the lake, and the Cabin is a quiet studio for two right next to it. You'll often see the horses grazing in the pasture.
